During charging, low temperatures have a negative effect on lithium batteries. If the ambient temperature drops below 1°C, the following issue occurs:
The heater, via the thermostat, monitors the external temperature of the battery. If the temperature drops below 7°C, the thermostat closes the contacts and the heater begins warming the lithium battery until the temperature approaches 25°C. After that, the thermostat is triggered again — it opens the contacts and stops the heating process, until the battery’s external temperature drops below 7°C once more.
With this operation, the heater ensures continuous battery performance even under cold environmental conditions.
